When you create an account and use MeetMyFilipina, you voluntarily provide us with:

• Profile Information: Name, date of birth, gender, sexual orientation, city, country, headline, bio, occupation, education level, and "looking for" preferences
• Photos: Profile photos and additional photos you upload
• Lifestyle Details: Height, religion, smoking and drinking habits, children, and desire for children
• Languages & Interests: Spoken languages and personal interests you select
• Messages: Text messages, photos, and videos you send through the platform
• Payment Information: When you subscribe to a premium plan, payment is processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or PayPal. We do not store your credit card number, but we do receive transaction identifiers, subscription status, and purchase history from these processors.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, we automatically collect:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens
• Location Data: City and country as provided during registration; we do not continuously track GPS location
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken (e.g., swipes, matches, messages sent), timestamps

To protect our community, messages are automatically scanned for prohibited content including phone numbers, email addresses, and attempts to circumvent platform safety guidelines. Messages that violate our guidelines may be blocked or have personal information redacted. We do this to keep conversations safe and on-platform.

Your profile information (name, age, photos, city, country, headline, bio, interests, and lifestyle details) is visible to other members of the Service. Messages are only visible to you and the recipient.

Messages and media are retained while both participants have active accounts. Deleted conversations are removed from your view but may be retained on the other participant's account until they also delete the conversation.

• Hashed and salted passwords — we never store passwords in plain text
• JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens (15 minutes) and rotating refresh tokens

• Perceptual photo hashing for duplicate and abuse detection

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights & Choices

7.1 Access & Update

You can access and update your profile information at any time through the Account settings in the app or website.

7.2 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@meetmyfilipina.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7.3 Push Notifications

You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. This will not affect the core functionality of the Service.

7.4 Email Communications

Transactional emails (verification codes, password resets) are necessary for the Service and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

7.5 Analytics Opt-Out

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. On mobile, you can limit ad tracking through your device's privacy settings.

8. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

9. Age Requirement

The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete that information immediately.
